During rabi 1992-94, 5 genotypes of B. juncea and one of B. napus (rape) were evaluated for 10 physiological and morphological parameters following application of 0, 40, 60 and 80 kg nitrogen/ha at the CCS Agronomy Research Area at Hisar, India. Allparameters except transmission coefficient were positively correlated with seed yield, especially seeds/pod, siliquae/plant, light absorption coefficient and transpirational cooling. In general, parameters of B. napus were less correlated with seed yield than those of the B. juncea cultivars.
