Japan's Steel Export In 1st Half This Year 21,360 Thousand Tons, Down 2.2% From The Same Last Year

Japan's Ministry of Finance released statistics on steel export and import (preliminary) in the first half (Jan. through Jun.) of 2011 on 21st. According to this, cumulative export quantity in the first half of this year was 21,364 thousand tons, down 2.2% from the same period last year. However, it was the higher level exceeding 40 million tons on an annually adjusted basis. Cumulative export amount in yen was 1 trillion 916 billion 180 million, up 5.4% ditto.
