The Xstrata Merafe Chrome Venture, a leading producer of ferro-chrome in South Africa, announced on the 3rd of June ( local time ) that the Venture will suspend to operate ten electric furnaces for production of ferro-chrome during the next 3 months. This suspension is supposed to be effective from this week.
