Steel producers are today under tremendous pressure to maintain their identities and their competitiveness. To scale up these goals, steel producers in all sectors are trying to identify the techno commercially feasible ways"to achieve the minimum cost of production ". Some aspects in this regard are being elaborated that are applicable for all existing electric arc furnaces and Ladle furnaces installed in India and worldwide.
