China's Domestic Iron Ore Prices Plunge, Port Stocks Climb

According to the monitoring survey of Commercial Information Forecast (CIF) announced by China's Ministry of Commerce on March 19, domestic iron ore prices that once picked up on a short run at the beginning of this year have come to show a sustained downward trend. In the week of March 9 to 15, iron ore prices dropped 14.9 percent on average from mid February, already declining for a fourth straight week, and falling 51.3 percent from the same period last year.
