PHARMACISTS have been praised for their delivery of opioid replacement therapy (ORT) in Scotland in an independent expert review commissioned by the Scottish Government (see Panel). The review also suggests that further investigation of the payment system is needed, and that alternatives that could bring down drug costs should be explored.
