EIGHT appointments have been made to the General Pharmaceutical Council - five new members and three reappointed members - it was announced last week. The eight members will join six continuing members of council, including the GPhC chairman Bob Nicholls. The first meeting of the newly formed council will be on 11 April 2013. The five new members are: Mary Elford (lay member), Mohammed Hussain (registrant), Berwyn Owen (registrant), David Prince (lay member) and Samantha Quaye (registrant). The three current members who have been reappointed are: Soraya Dhillon (registrant), Tina Funnell (lay member) and Judy Wor-thington (lay member).
