GPs promoting pharmacy in Scotland

PATIENTS in Scotland who go to see their GP about minor illnesses are the target of a new poster campaign, encouraging them to ask a pharmacist for advice instead. Every GP practice in the country has been sent posters for the campaign, which is being run by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Scottish directorate and the Royal College of General Practitioners as part of a joint action plan to improve pharmacist-GP working (PJ 2012;289:2).
