Preconceived bias

I hope that the subheading under which you publish the letter from Warwick Smith ("Deeply distorted reflection", PJ 4/11 August 2012, p147) refers to his letter rather than to my original article (PJ, 14 July 2012, p53). As director general of the British Generic Manufacturers Association, Mr Smith's views can hardly be expected to be entirely objective or free from any preconceived bias.
