Warning over lack of DoH planning if trusts go bust

AN INFLUENTIAL committee of MPs has accused the Department of Health of making up rules and processes "on the hoof" over how it will protect essential services if an NHS trust faces bankruptcy. Chairman of the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee Margaret Hodge launched an attack against the DoH this week, following publication of the committee's report on its inquiry into how the DoH intends to secure the financial sustainability of the NHS.
