PHARMACY'S profile is on the rise as recognition of the contribution it can make to the Government's NHS reforms is being acknowledged at all levels, according to Ash Soni, the profession's representative on the NHS Future Forum. Mr Soni said that at last week's meeting of the Future Forum — the body set up to advise the Government on its NHS modernisation programme — health secretary Andrew Lansley spoke at length about the role of the profession and its potential. He told The Journal: "There has been a definite move towards increasing the profile of pharmacy and the view of the importance of its role in healthcare.
