Misconduct and deficient professional performance leads to 12-rrfonth suspension for Lithuanian pharmacist

MISCONDUCT and deficient professional performance have resulted in a pharmacist's 12-month suspension from the Register, by order of the Fitness-to-Practise Committee of the General Pharmaceutical Council. At its meeting on 16 April 2012, the committee inquired into the case of Aukse Austinskaite (registration number 2071786). Against her there were a number of allegations of dispensing errors and that her performance as a pharmacist was not at a level conducive to patient safety. Ms Austinskaite was not present at the hearing and was not represented. Nirupar Uddin, case manager, appeared on behalf of the GPhC.
