DETAILS of a new payment structure for specials, which will take effect from 1 November 2011, have been announced by the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee and the Department of Health. There are two separate payment arrangements depending on whether an unlicensed medicine is listed in a new section in the Drug Tariff—Part VIIIB.
