Rifaximin to launch next month

ADULTS who contract travellers' diarrhoea will have a new treatment option next month when rifaximin is launched in the UK on 12 September 2011. Marketed by Norgine under the brand name Xifaxanta, the drug is indicated for travellers' diarrhoea that is not associated with bloody diarrhoea or stools, fever or eight or more unformed stools in the previous 24 hours.
