摘要

A pharmacist convicted of dangerous driving has had his name removed from the Register of Pharmacists by order of the Disciplinary Committee. At a hearing on 28 August 2009, the committee heard that on 28 February 2008, David Knott, of Hornchurch, Essex, had pleaded guilty to and had been convicted of an offence of dangerous driving, contrary to the Road Traffic Act 1988. He had been sentenced on 3 April 2008 to 38 weeks' imprisonment suspended for two years and ordered to perform 100 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to undergo non-resident mental health treatment for 18 months, was disqualified from driving for 30 months and was ordered to pay compensation to those who had suffered damage as a result of his dangerous driving.
