Pharmacists and GPs should meet locally

Community pharmacists and GPs are being encouraged to meet at a local level to discuss issues of mutual interest. The idea comes from a group incorporating members of the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee along with NHS Employers and the General Practitioner Committee of the British Medical Association, which have met on a number of occasions to discuss the issue of pharmacist and GP relations. They are sending a letter to local pharmaceutical committees, local medical committees and community pharmacists and GPs to suggest the scheme.
