In the final article on the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Workplace Pressure Campaign (PJ, 25 July 2009, p96), Karen Hassall explains why she believes that the lack of pharmacists' ownership of their professional contribution to healthcare is the tap root of their work overload stress. She goes on to link pressure to extend our roles into areas that often have little to do with medicines, in particular with the target-driven culture that predominates within large multiples.
