Proposals that could result in pharmacists facing a criminal prosecution for failing to report a suspected counterfeit medicine to regulators have been widely condemned by organisations representing the interests of the community pharmacy sector.The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency is considering creating the new offence as part of a'wholesale change in the law governing counterfeit medicines and the supply chain.
