Pharmacy organisations must urgently cultivate good relationships with IT system suppliers as implementation of the electronic prescription service (EPS) moves towards its final stages, according to Stephen Goundrey-Smith, health IT pharmacist at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Mr Goundrey-Smith's comment follows a call, from the first pharmacist in England to operate EPS Release 2 under live conditions, for pharmacists to have one strong voice representing them and their IT needs.
