Society commended for regulatory performance

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society is performing to expected standards during a period of significant organisational change, according to the 2008-09 performance review by the Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence.In its latest report to Parliament, the CHRE flags up the Society, out of the nine UK healthcare regulatory bodies reviewed, for its effective management of governance arrangements "in light of the significant changes that it is experiencing as a result of the separation of its regulatory and representational roles".
