BMA proposal is bad news for pharmacy

The British Medical Association's call to set up an arm's length board to run the NHS is good news for doctors and bad news for everyone else(PJ,12 May,p544).The BMA is an excellent,if not the best,trade union in the country which effectively looks after the needs of the medical profession.Witness how well the medical profession has benefited in recent years from NHS reforms:fewer working hours for GPs arid consultants;an end to on-call with unsocial hours;a stranglehold on practice-based commissioning funding and a substantial increase in remuneration,too.
