New year's day 2006 was an important one for the College of Pharmacy Practice for three reasons.It was the 25th anniversary of the college's official foundation by the Pharmaceutical Society.It was the 20th anniversary of its independence from the Society.And it was the day on which the Queen's new year honours list included an MBE for college chairman Charles Butler,with the award citation specifically recognising his role in the college as well as his service to the NHS.
