POSCO Pohang Works Stop Operating Blast Furnace in Producing Foundry Pig Iron

POSCO Pohang Works stopped on February 1 operating a blast furnace that had produced foundry pig iron for a period of its 22-year life expectancy. However, the company said there will be no frustration in its overall supply of foundry pig iron, as it is producing foundry pig iron at other blast furnaces as well in the Pohang Works and Gwangyang Works.
