In the wake of an alarming new report experts are now demanding a reform of guidelines on howto identify indicators of psychosocial problems.The German Health Interview and Examination Survey for Children and Adolescents (KiGGS) has been running since 2003 and studies motor skills, diet, and psychosocial factors in 18000 children and adolescents in Germany. Its latest findings show that 15% of children and young people with psychosocial problems showed signs or indicators of their condition early on, which some experts claim doctors could have detected.
