摘要

More than 2 5 million Muslims from over 160 countries will be going on Hajj-a pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia-this year during Nov 25-30. Such a mass gathering, with up to seven people per m~2, increases the risk of spreading infectious diseases, particularly the 2009 pandemic influenza A H1N1.
