Inadequate health care for migrants in the USA.

Almost 30000 people in the USA are currently held in administrative detention for alleged violations of immigration law. The detainees are accommodated across more than 500 facilities, mostly state and county jails, often for periods of months oryears. Health-care provision in immigration detention centres is organised by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency and involves a commissioned corps of health personnel including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers.
