Editorial Comment: These data highlight the benefits of restoration of male erectile function for the patient and his partner. In this report penile prosthesis implantation was successful and produced a high level of patient satisfaction for the implanted male and partner. Importantly there were no statistically significant differences according to level of education or implant characteristics. Thus, when considering penile prosthesis surgery, many positive downstream sexual satisfaction benefits can be discussed with the patient that may help in the decision process.
