The ferrochrome market continues to be mired in gloom. The dramatic downturn in stainless-steel production has left demand for ferrochrome at a complete standstill With limited business available, ferrochrome producers are slashing production as quickly as possible in an effort to prevent any further accumulation of stocks, which currently stand at extreme highs. Though cuts to production have been swift and brutal, they have not been sufficient to prevent another substantial decline in prices this month.
