We do not dispute that KIR2DL4 is also expressed in die . cytoplasm of CD56~(dim) NK cells. We address the following:. 1) Dr. Long correctly points out that their early work was performed with Miltenyi purified NK cells whereas we used RosetteSep purfied NK cells that had a minor dendritic cell (DC) contamination. Our point is that DC contamination as low as 1.5% was sufficient to support an IFN-gamma response in our hands. Their early work did not indicate what level of DC were present in their NK cell preparations.
