South Korea’s five power companies, led by Korea East-West Power (EWP), bought a combined 860,000 mt of thermal coalFriday for loading in November to December and for delivery to Dangjinport, two sources said Tuesday.According to a source close to the matter, the tender K.Genco-Coal-2016-JT01, which sought five 130,000 mt Capesize shipments ofthermal coal with a minimum calorific value of 5,700 kcal/kg NAR, wasawarded to Trafigura (two), Glencore (one), and Rio Tinto (two).
