BHP Billiton’s Jul-Sep thermal coal output hit by rain

Australia-listed BHP Billiton’s thermal coal production took ahit in July-September due to adverse weather conditions, but thecompany has maintained its guidance for fiscal 2016-2017 (July-June),it said in its quarterly operational review Wednesday.The miner’s thermal coal production totaled 6.88 million mt in theSeptember quarter, down 4% year on year and up 9% from the Junequarter, the report said.
