Spot Turkish petcoke demand remains despite price pressure

Mid-sulfur (4-5.5% sulfur content) petroleum coke prices for delivery to Turkey remained subdued this week amid continued bearish crude oil prices and weak freight rates. Although buyers were hanging back in anticipation of lower prices to come due to ample supply exacerbating the declining price trend and thus hindering greater offtake, some spot procurement needs were being heard in the market.
