Spanish utility Endesa said Monday that itintends to withdraw three of its domestic coal-fired plantsfrom an emissions reduction plan that would have limitedtheir hours starting from January 1.The company said in a note that it “waives the right to thelimited service life exemption” for its three plants at As Pontes(Corunna), Compostilla (Leon) and Andorra (Teruel) and hasinformed the country’s Ministries of Industry, Energy andTourism, Agriculture, Food and the Environment, as well as theregional ministries of the relevant Autonomous Communities.
