The European acrylonitrile spot price was assessed flat on the week, closing Tuesday at $948/mt CIF Med. Prices were heard pegged at $900-970/mt CIF Med, Platts assessed within the range heard. Demand was heard mixed. A buyer said buying appetite was “very bad” and described the market as a buyers’ market. However, a production source said downstream demand for fibres acrylonitrilebutadiene- styrene is doing “very well.”
