Acrylonitrile prices rose across the Asia this week amid a dearth of supply. Prices were assessed up $30/mt week on week at $1,025/mt CFR Far East Asia Asia, up $14/mt at $955/mt CFR Southeast Asia and up $10/mt at $920/mt CFR South Asia Tuesday. Prevailing tight supply in Northeast Asia was further exacerbated by continuing issues at Shanghai Secco’s ACN plant, which was initially shut due to a power failure in early November.
