EDC: Spot prices were steady week on the week, assessed Thursday at $385-395/mt FOB USG, as spot March offers were heard at $410-420/mt FOB USG and trading level reported near the the $390 level. “We are seeing US EDC demand up to $400/mt FOB USG, but offers are pretty firm near the $410-420/mt level,” one trading source said. Upstream, in ethylene, US prices were assessed Thursday at 53-53.50 cents/lb FD USG, up 2.25 cents/lb week on week as February was heard bid at 51.25 cents/lb MtB Wms and offered at 53.875 cents/lb MtB Wms, while March was heard bid at 51-52 cents/lb MtB Wms, offered at 53.75- 56 cents/lb MtB Wms, and traded at 53.625 cents/lb MtB Wms.
