摘要

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a vinyl chloride monomer is provided to obtain vinyl chloride monomers in high yield through thermal decomposition of ethylene dichloride and to control by-products of precursors for coke.;CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a vinyl chloride monomer comprises adding a co-catalyst and performing thermal decomposition of ethylene dichloride, wherein phosphorous(P) as a co-catalyst includes 5-valent compounds or 3-valent boron compounds. When an outlet temperature of a reactor is controlled to 490~500 °C and conversion ratio is controlled in a range of 50~70%, a conversion rate of a vinyl chloride monomer from ethylene dichloride increases in a range of 5~20 %. By-products created in a pyrolysis reaction is reduced in a range of 5~40%.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
