Trading sources reported very low buying interest for spot material this week as consumers concluded contract price agreements with their suppliers and attention focused on March pricing. The spot market remained offered at around Eur1,530/mt FD NWE, although sources saw less evidence of Asian material, perhaps due to stronger demand in the east in the wake of the Chinese New Year but also from the strengthening dollar. "It is not the best moment to sell; no one is buying and there are pockets of poor credit issues," one trader said.
