Asian bottle-grade polyethylene terephthalate sank $51/mt week on week to be assessed at $1,389/mt FOB Northeast Asia Wednesday, while the FOB Southeast Asia marker tumbled $46/mt over the same period to $1,384/mt. PET feedstocks monoethylene glycol and purified terephthalic acid saw modest rebounds this week but Asian PET markets remained bearish as inventory levels remained high.
