European acrylonitrile prices remained stable this week, at $1,800-1,805 CIF Med, due to unchanged market fundamentals. However, perceptions of demand remained far apart this week: one producer stated ACN demand maintained strength, while a trader said consumption had not improved and was ordinary. The producer stated there was no significant shortage in the market, although an element of tightness was present. Meanwhile, views were mixed on the repercussions of the NWE October contract price settlement for propylene.
