Asian polypropylene prices continued to climb this week, tracking increases in China domestic prices. The PP raffia marker was assessed at $1,425/mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday, up $16/mt week on week, while the PP injection marker was assessed at $1,417/mt CFR Far East Asia, up $8/mt over the same period. In Southeast Asia, the PP raffia/injection marker rose $7/mt week on week to $1,432/mt CFR, while in South Asia, the marker gained $5/mt over the same period to $1,440/mt CFR. China Petroleum & Chemical Corp., or Sinopec, Tuesday raised its ex-works price for PP in East China by Yuan 200/mt ($31.50/mt) to Yuan 11,700/mt, or $1,481/mt.
