Spot and contract polypropylene prices in Europe continued to rise in tandem this week on the back of a firmer energy complex. Upstream, naphtha has so far averaged at $905/mt CIF NWE in August, up from $825/mt in July. It closed at $948.75/mt Wednesday, up from $921.75/mt a week earlier, as Brent crude rose to three-month highs above $115/b. Spot trading activities were limited as many industry players were away on summer holidays.
