Iranian exports jump as demand broadens

Analysis London-Sailings of tankers carrying crude oil and condensate from Iranian ports climbed sharply in May, according to ship tracking data, as demand from Asia and Europe gained traction taking the country’s oil exports closer to pre-sanction levels. In May, 48 sailings took place from Iran’s crude oil and condensate ports, up from 39 in April and 32 in March, data from Platts trade flow software cFlow shows, as the customer base for Iranian crude widens further. Export volumes of crude oil and condensate in May were approximately 2.21 million b/d, up from 1.94 million b/d in April and up by 38% from the 1.6 million b/d seen in March, according to Platts estimates.
