Oil producers fix freeze talks for mid-April

Moscow-A group of major oil producing countries accounting for almost threequarters of global oil output will meet in Doha next month to consider a production freeze at January levels, Qatar and Russia’s energy ministers said Wednesday. About 15 OPEC and non-OPEC producing countries will participate in the meeting planned for April 17 in the Qatari capital, Qatar’s minister of energy and industry Mohammed al-Sada said.
