US ethanol exports climb as Brazil cuts output

Houston-The US is averaging about 90,000 b/d in ethanol exports during November, sourc- es said Tuesday, up from previous months as the US remains the cheapest global source of the biofuel. “Brazil keeps coming in and this month we have China and India as well,” one source said. Though 90,000 b/d was a commonly cited number, some see exports from the mid- 80,000 b/d up to 95,000 b/d. December volumes varied even more, with one source saying volumes would fall and another saying they would crest 100,000 b/d.
