US rig count falls by 48

Houston-The US rig count was 571 for the week ended February 5, down by 48 from the prior week, according to Baker Hughes. The latest count includes 545 land and 26 offshore, with 104 assigned to gas, 467 to oil and 0 to miscellaneous drilling. The rigs were drilling 60 vertical, 53 directional and 458 horizontal wells.
