Global tight oil output hits 8 million b/d by 2035: BP

London-Global supplies of unconventional tight oil are likely to treble to about 8 million b/d over the next two decades despite a slowdown in the growth of a key source of new energy supply, BP said Tuesday. Despite rising concerns over the short-term impact of low oil prices on tight, or shale, oil projects, BP said it sees the world’s tight oil supplies rising 5.5 million b/d from about 2.5 million b/d in 2013.
