Republic of Congo finds more buyers for its oil

London—The Republic of Congo’s efforts to diversify its crude exports seem to be paying off with some renewed interest from buyers in Asia and Europe, which could help reduce its reliance on China. The oil industry remains the country’s main revenue generator, and crude production is steady just over 280,000 b/d, with 250,000-260,0000 b/d of that being used for exports. It was the sixth largest oil producer in Africa in 2014, according to BP’s latest Statistical Review.
