Seoul—South Korea’s crude oil imports rose 8% year on year in April, marking the sixth consecutive month of year-on-year growth, as refiners took advantage of lower prices. The country imported 76.9 million barrels of crude oil in April, up from 71.2 million barrels a year earlier, preliminary data from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy showed Friday. The volume was down 6.4%, however, from imports of 82.2 million barrels in March.
