摘要

Dubai—The ramp-up in Saudi crude production over the past three months is designed to meet greater global demand and the needs of customers, and is not aimed at compensating for lower oil prices, the Saudi Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said Tuesday. Saudi production has averaged some 10.3 million b/d in recent months, significantly higher than the rate at the start of 2015. A senior Gulf source said last week that output from the OPEC kingpin averaged roughly 10.3 million b/d in May, similar to the level reported by the kingdom for April and March. This compares with levels closer to 9.6 million b/d earlier in 2015.
